VoxelMods offers free* Cable repairs!

VoxelMods crafts his cables to be robust yet repairable, so if you’re a client of mine with a broken cable, don’t throw it out!

In general, Voxel tries to do repairs for as little cost as possible, and in 99% of cases it’s free!

100% of repairs that have been attempted have been successful, so I highly recommend contacting me if your cable is having issues!

A cable can be repaired at no cost if you bought the cable from me, and:

  • The cable stopped working and wont connect to your computer (99% of repairs are a simple USB repair)

  • An issue arises that Voxel was responsible for, such as the super rare instance of not working out of the box

A cable repair may cost money in the following rare situations:

  • If the detachable needs to be wholly replaced for any reason, you will be asked to pay the cost of it. This ranges from $25 to 50 depending on the finish. This is the cost I pay to my supplier, and is the lowest price I can charge.

  • If part of the cable was destroyed beyond repair, such as being the victim of a cat attack, you may need to pay material costs.

  • If the cable you need repaired is made by another maker, I charge $25 to diagnose, repair, and reinforce the cable from another maker. This covers the 30-60 minutes needed.

  • If you are wanting a large modification, such as converting a coil to a straight cable, or adding additional parts like a second host, these are handled on a case by case basis.

How it works:

Step 1: Report a Problem to Voxel through the form

Step 2: Voxel will respond after assessing the situation and provide a shipping address. You will be responsible for shipping the cable to me, ideally packed safely to avoid connector or coil damage.

Step 3: The cable will arrive, and Voxel will make the repair in the same week.

Step 4: When the cable is repaired, Voxel will ship the cable back to you at his expense using USPS first class mail.

Warranty Policies and when Voxel Can’t Help:

It’s extremely uncommon, but there have been a couple of times where it was not within my means to accommodate a repair or replacement. These situations are out of both of our control, and as a very small business, I can’t remake a cable without the original being returned. Issues like this are a 1 in 1000 chance so this section is mainly to protect myself.

Examples of things that fall outside my repair policy: Cable Stolen from Mailbox or Home, Cable misdelivered due to providing an old address, willful destruction of the cable, and natural disasters such as fire, tornado, hurricane, or earthquake. I will try to offer a discount on a new cable in these situations, but please understand that I can’t make the same cable a second time without cost.
